How Top CRNA Schools Are Ranked

  1. Bradley University is a top-ranked private university in Peoria, Illinois, that offers nearly 6,000 undergraduate and graduate students opportunities and resources of a larger university and the personal attention and exceptional learning experience of a smaller university. Bradley offers more than 185 undergraduate and graduate academic programs in business, communications, education.
  2. The nurse anesthesia program has evolved throughout its existence to meet the needs and expectations of our students, the nurse anesthesia profession, and requirements for continued accreditation. Decatur Memorial Hospital (DMH) partnered with Millikin University in the summer of 2010 to launch The Millikin University and Decatur Memorial.

Top CRNA program rankings are determined by peer review meaning that all the other school's faculty, administrators, and deans, are the people doing the surveys. Each nurse anesthesia program is sent the same number of surveys, and the respondents then will rate the quality of the CRNA school using a scale of 1 (marginal) to 5 (outstanding). Only the fully accredited nurse anesthesia programs were give a rank in this survey.

Some CRNA schools received a 'Rank Not Published'. This means that U.S. News did come up with a numerical ranking for that CRNA school, however they decided for editorial reasons, that since the CRNA school ranked below the U.S. News cutoff, that they wouldn't publish the nurse anesthesia program's ranking. (US News World Report)

Bradley's nursing degrees give you confidence in your caregiver abilities through challenging classes and diverse clinical settings. You can enter Bradley's direct-admit undergraduate programs with no college background, an RN or LPN. You also can earn graduate nursing degrees on campus or online.

Are Top CRNA School Rankings Accurate?

Asking if top CRNA schools ranking's are accurate is tricky question and needs to be assessed from a couple directions. First its important to know that only a few schools actually took part in the surveys (49%). As you can see this is a pretty small sample. Due to the nature of the survey, a very subjective result is created, and causes it to lack the empirical evidence needed to support it's analysis of the top CRNA schools. On the other hand these rankings do correlate a little with the difficulty level that an CRNA school applicant would face when applying to each nurse anesthesia program.

CRNA schools that are ranked higher can be more difficult to gain admission into. This is due to the fact that these CRNA Schools often times have a stricter admission policy, and a larger number of applicants each year. You need to take this into account when deciding on which top CRNA school you want to apply to. Any person considering CRNA school should neither choose nor reject a school solely based on this ranking. There are so many other factors that you need to consider when deciding on a school, and we encourage you to do your own research. From there you can choose a school that works best for you.
